Living in Vermont you become accustomed to cold weather pretty quickly and start to find things to help you get through the cold months. One of my favorite things to do this time of year is to cook up something warm in the crock pot! I recently made a meatball tortellini soup and wanted to share the easy recipe with you in case you also need something to keep you warm this season!

Each year there is one essie collection that I look forward to more than any other and that is the fall collection. Last year essie graced us with the 90’s themed collection, which turned out to be my favorite release from 2017 and this year they somehow managed to top that collection with this NYC themed fall release. To say that each polish is pure gold is a serious understatement, I could not be more thrilled about all six polishes and my biggest issue with this collection so far was which one to try first. Read below to hear more about the six polishes and to see why I am falling for NYC and essie all over again this year.
“with the refreshing autumn energy of our shades, you’ll fall for NYC faster than a NY minute. it takes a west village for a wardrobe refresh. so throw on your new leather jacket, say it ain’t soho, and stop, drop & shop. you’ll be sashaying in your fringe
booties on broadway and stepping right into an empire shade of mind.” – essie
Polishes from left to right: ‘It Takes A West Village’, ‘Stop, Drop & Shop’, ‘Fall For NYC’, ‘Say It Ain’t Soho’, ‘Booties On Broadway’, ‘and Empire Shade of Mind’.

I wanted to share some of my favorite beauty products at the moment and give you a tiny look into what I have been using on the regular. These products range in price and some are drug store buys while others are a bit more expensive. I am not someone who feels the need to spend absurd amounts of money on my beauty products so I try to find products that I like that are reasonably priced. Sometimes when I deem it absolutely necessary I splurge on a more expensive product but that is only if I feel the need is there. Here are a few of my current favorites below!

Growing up in Vermont means that you are taught at a young age to buy local. Whether it’s at a farm stand, farmers market, or going to pick fresh fruit right off of the vine, buying local becomes something that is just second nature. That is why each Spring we look forward to all of the fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers that will soon be growing. Since moving back home I have gotten back in the habit of getting out more and purchasing locally rather than in store. Check out some of my local finds from this Summer below and my matching nails for each occasion!
This is the famous clock tower located at the top of the Church Street Marketplace where the farmers market takes place!
