I wanted to share some of my favorite beauty products at the moment and give you a tiny look into what I have been using on the regular. These products range in price and some are drug store buys while others are a bit more expensive. I am not someone who feels the need to spend absurd amounts of money on my beauty products so I try to find products that I like that are reasonably priced. Sometimes when I deem it absolutely necessary I splurge on a more expensive product but that is only if I feel the need is there. Here are a few of my current favorites below!
The Buttermask For Lips by Kiehl’s is a product that was just released a few months ago and is to die for. Its made with coconut oil and wild mango butter and smells so good you might want to eat it. I have been applying this before bed and it has made such a difference in the dryness of my lips.
Next up is the Redken Extreme Mega Mask. This hair mask is formulated to make your hair up to 15 times stronger and to revive dry and brittle hair. My hair seems to constantly need moisture and adding this into my weekly routine has been instrumental in healthier hair. I have been applying the mask two to three times a week and this small extra step has made all of the difference.
Every day before I put on my foundation I have been applying the Instaglow CC Cream by The Body Shop. Just adding this one step has made my face look so much smoother and has helped to add some serious moisture. There is a slight SPF in it so it has been perfect for the summer to add some added protection from the sun.
I started using the Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done foundation a few months ago and I have loved the results. Not only does it apply easily and gives me a “no makeup makeup look” but it has also helped with my blemishes. I don’t think this is something that it is marketed to do but because of it’s light weight formula it has helped my skin clear up and look more radiant than usual. I am currently wearing medium light but once Winter comes around I will be back to light.
The essie Fall Collection was just released and I truly haven’t been this excited about a new collection in some time. The shade shown here is ‘Fall For NYC’ , a mustard yellow with marigold highlights. This is my favorite shade out of the six polishes released because of how unique it is and because it looks just as good on the nail as in the bottle. If you are looking for a go to shade this fall than look no further!
I discovered the Dionis Verbena & Cream Hand Cream from my best friends mom and ever since then I have been hooked. Not only is it super moisturizing but the smell is amazing. I’m big on hand cream since I am always trying to keep my cuticles and hands moisturized to reduce chipping of my nails and this cream gets the job done.
The Measurable Difference Vitamin C Serum was a TJ Maxx find that I found a few months ago and since then I have gone back to stock up multiple times. I have a problem with dry skin (especially my forehead area) and adding this into my morning routine has made all of the difference.
For years I was an avid user of the Better Than Sex Mascara, that was until L’Oréal came out with their Lash Paradise Mascara. At first I was hesitant to try a new mascara since I have high standards but Lash Paradise is comparable to Better Than Sex and is almost a third of the price.
The Clinique Loose Powder is something that I have been using since high school. I still remember going to the store and sitting up in a chair at the makeup counter and having the saleswomen help me find a powder. I wear the invisible shade and dust a light coat over my entire face after I have applied my foundation. This has always set my makeup perfectly and has helped to reduce the shine on my face throughout the day.
The Woosh Spin Lip Gloss adds the perfect amount of color to your lips. I wear the beige frosted shade and love how subdued it looks once applied. I am not into bright lips so this gives just enough of a pop that you can tell I am wearing something but doesn’t overpower my face. This lip gloss is currently half off at Ulta so now is the time to buy it!
The Mirabella Wipeout Makeup Remover Wipes are perfect for removing makeup but still keeping your face moisturized. These don’t have alcohol in them so they aren’t super drying to your face, instead they have vitamin E to help to smooth the skin and leave it moisturized and clean.
The Hoola Bronzer by Benefit is something that I am sure you have seen time and time again but it is still a favorite of mine. I started using it after a roommate of mine used it during an internship back in college and I have been in love ever since. It adds the softest glow to my face without being over powering and making me look orange. I use a large powder brush to apply the bronzer instead of the brush that it comes with because I feel it applies more evenly that way.
The Burt’s Bees Concealer is a newer product that was just released within the past few months. This is an all natural product that not only helps to moisturize but also does a great job at covering blemishes. I have been using the light medium shade for summer but will be switching to the fair shade as I start to get paler.
I got this Gelish Cuticle Oil in a goodie bag from my local nail salon a few months ago and ever since then I have been solely using it on my nails. There is something about the light and airy smell and the level of hydration that I feel it brings to my cuticles that makes me love it so much. This is a must try and can be found on amazon in a pack of two for a great price!
The Kiehl’s Butterstick is the best chapstick that I have ever used. It does come at a higher price point than others but it is well worth the extra money. It has an SPF of 25 so it helps to protect your lips from the sun. The formula is made with coconut oil and it makes the chapstick glide on smoothly and leaves my lips feeling super moisturized for hours. This is a must try product if you haven’t already!
The Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 is a product that was newly introduced to me that has quickly become part of my daily routine. Not only does this have SPF 47 but it is also infused with argan oil and green tea, which makes this product a slam dunk. It fights off the sun rays, moisturizes your face, evens out your skin tone, and helps with dullness and uneven texture. What more could you possibly want?
Within the past year I have started to get more into the eyebrow trend and started to test out some new products to find out what works best for me. I tried some by Anastasia Beverly Hills, some by Benefit, and a few by L’Oréal and to be honest I was a big fan of them all. Gimme Brow by Benefit was one that really worked for me and stood out from the rest because shade number three matches my hair color perfectly.
Before I apply my Gimme Brow I use the Precisely, My Brow to add in some extra color to the areas where the hair on my brow is more sparse than others. I also use this Benefit product in shade number three and have found that using them both together gives off a natural looking brow that doesn’t look painted on like some pencils and gels do.
I am constantly on the look out for new salves as I use them so often to make sure my cuticles are always in tip top shape. I love that they aren’t a liquid so they can be thrown easily into a purse or suitcase and can travel with me place to place. I have been using the C.O. Bigelow No. 013 Lavender Salve for a few months now and absolutely love the smell of it. Normally I use a rose scented salve but this lavender scent is mixing it up for me a bit and I am loving the change. Not only can this be used on your nails but also on your elbows, lips, knees, or anywhere else that you feel you need some added hydration.
I was just recently introduced to the world of highlighters when my friend bought me the Too Faced You Light Up My Life highlighter for my birthday. Now I seriously can’t get enough and each morning I dust a small amount to each cheek bone to add an added glow. I am not one for flashy makeup but this gives off the softest glow and instantly lights up my face.
Finding new beauty products and testing them out is one of my favorite things to do. With that being said I am always on the lookout for new products I haven’t heard about so make sure to let me know what some of your current favorites are!
