essie gel couture enchanted collection

essie recently released six new gel couture polishes that will leave you feeling like you’re in a fairy tale. The Enchanted Collection consists of three pastel polishes, two shimmer formulas, and a deep mahogany red. To say there is a bit of something for everyone to have a magical time when wearing one of these six polishes is an understatement. I was very happy to see essie continuing to add to the Gel Couture line as recently I have been grabbing for my GC polishes more often than my classic essie’s. The shine, formula, and wear of this line is always exceptional and thats why I was so excited when these six polishes lived up to these standards. Take a peek below to become spellbound by essie’s newest collection.

From left to right: ‘Matter of Fiction’, ‘Daring Damsel’, ‘Good Knight’, ‘Princess Charming’, ‘Spellbound’, and ‘Once Upon A Time’.

This collection is currently available on Amazon as well as at other local retailers. I have linked each polish below so click on the blue text if you are interested in purchasing a polish #amazoninfluencer

First up we have ‘Matter of Fiction’, a blush pink spun with blue undertones. This one was one of my absolute favorites from this line and is also the color that I’m currently wearing at the moment. It took three thin coats to get this blush pink and it will be the perfect Valentines Day polish!

‘Princess Charming’ is a rose mauve accented with subtle nutmeg. This was my least favorite from the collection as the mauve/taupe undertones in this aren’t really flattering on my nails. It did have a great formula and went on like a dream in just two coats.

The namesake of this collection is ‘Once Upon A Time’, an icy blue with slate tones. This color is very elegant and isn’t a bright blue but is more of a muted blue, which is perfect for winter. I did two thin coats and it covered perfectly on all nails.

Next we have ‘Spellbound’, a light moss green dusted with golden luster. This is my all time favorite and is most likely going to be one of my overall essie favorites for quite some time. The gold shimmer in this one is unreal and is very noticeable on the nail not just in the bottle. If you buy one polish from this collection this one should be it!

‘Daring Damsel’ is a brushed champagne gold. So far essie has come out with a few gold toned polishes for their Gel Couture Line but this one is by far my favorite. It isn’t a bright gaudy yellow gold but is more of a subdued gold and it went on flawlessly with little to no streaks or bald spots.

‘Good Knight’  is a midnight mahogany red. This was one of the least exciting polishes from this release. Don’t get me wrong the outcome is a gorgeous deep mahogany but I feel like there are already a lot of similar toned polishes to this one that have already been released in the GC Line. If you don’t already have a deep burgundy Gel Couture than I would suggest picking this one up but if you do then maybe go for some of the other beauties in this collection.

Overall my three favorites were ‘Spell Bound’, ‘Matter of Fiction’, and ‘Once Upon A Time’. As always each formula was fantastic and application went super smoothly because of the amazing Gel Couture brushes. For me this collection was a win because of the witty names and overall uniqueness of the colors and collection theme. Let me know what ones are your favorites or if you are going to pick any up over on my Instagram!

The products in this post were sent to me by essie, however this post was all my personal opinion. #essiepartner
