essie Gel Couture Swatches

As most of you know I recently bought ‘Zip Me Up’ from the essie Gel Couture line in order to do a wear test and see if this line stood up to the amazing reviews it has been receiving. My polish ended up lasting for five days and for those who aren’t as hard on their hands I’m sure that it would have lasted even longer. With that being said these polishes are a big win for me and I decided that I would go out and buy some more to add to my collection! I ended up getting five new polishes so that I now have six in total! Below I swatched and compared each polish with a polish from the core essie line that I deemed similar!

essie Gel Couture Line

essie has recently released their new Gel Couture Line. This collection consists of 42 long lasting polishes that give the gel effect without having to cure your nails under a UV light. This is a two step method that requires two coats of Gel Couture polish and then the Gel Couture top coat, no base coat is needed. One of the new features of this collection are the bottle shape. The bottles are twisted in order to signify the twirl of a dress in the fashion world. Another new element to these polishes is the swirl stem brush that creates perfect coverage and easier clean up. This line is split into four different collections, the ‘Atelier Collection’, the ‘First Look Collection’, the ‘After Party’ collection, and the ‘Fashion Show’ Collection.

I have loved splatter paint nails ever since I tried them out for the first time last Fourth of July. This year I decided that I would recreate them and perfect the splatter paint technique! To me this mani is perfect for the 4th because it reminds me of fireworks exploding. This look is also easy to create because each nail looks different every time and thats okay! Below is a how to so that you can get the same look for the upcoming holiday!
